Progress is saved in this browser only. Your email just names your profile so several people can share a device — there is no password and nothing is sent anywhere.

On the chest

Slide — drag the probe footprint. It stays inside the highlighted window; tap another window to move there.
Rotate — drag the small knob on the ring around the footprint. The amber dot on the footprint is the indicator; it matches the amber dot on the image and in the 3D view.
Fan / rock — drag the dot on the tilt pad. Up/down fans the plane through the tissue; left/right rocks the beam within the plane (right = toward the indicator). Double-tap the pad to level the probe.
Press (subcostal only) — drag the gauge to sink the probe under the xiphoid and aim it up under the ribs.
The dashed arrow from the footprint shows where the beam is aimed. Ribs, sternum and costal margin are drawn to scale; the faint outline is the heart under the chest wall.
Patient position — each window opens in the position it is normally scanned in (parasternal and apical on the left side, subcostal supine). Flip it to see how the heart moves under the ribs.

Phone as the probe

📱 Phone probe (top of the Probe panel) links a phone as a hand-held probe. Start with it lying flat, screen up — bottom edge toward you, top edge toward this screen; the amber mark on its right edge is the indicator. Tilt to fan, turn to rotate, heel sideways to rock, drag a finger on its screen to slide. Tap Zero on the phone, lying flat, to level the probe flat again.
Needs internet on both devices. Same Wi-Fi gives the most responsive link.

Image detail

Detail (under the image) sets how finely the image is redrawn once the probe is still: Auto picks the sharpest your machine keeps smooth (up to 4×), High = 2×, Max = 4×, Off = fastest. While the probe moves, a coarse image keeps the frame rate up regardless.

Reading the screen

The sector apex is the probe face. The amber dot marks the side of the screen the indicator points to: right in the cardiology convention (default), left if you switch to EM.
Black wedges are shadow from a rib or from lung. Nothing behind them is seen, and nothing behind them counts toward the score — slide to a clear window.
The 3D view shows the same plane cutting the heart. Drag it to orbit; scroll to zoom.

How Acquire is scored

Pass: the structures that define the view are on screen and unshadowed, structures that should not be there are absent, and your plane lies within 25° of the standard plane with the key landmark within 14 mm.
★★ within 12° and 6 mm · ★★★ within 6° and 3 mm. Hints cap the score at ★★.
Only the plane in the heart counts, so any route to the right plane passes. "Right plane, blocked window" means re-position, not re-aim.
